Commerce and Operations Policy

Product Guarantee:
We carefully select products based on manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and intended use scenarios. All medical/ emergency items are sourced from trusted manufacturers that represent their products as meeting applicable industry standards. 

Returns & Exchanges:
Due to the nature of medical and survival gear, some products (especially sterile medical components) may not be eligible for return. If the product has been opened, we will not accept returns/exchanges We maintain a fair and case-by-case return policy to balance hygiene, safety, and customer satisfaction. 

Law Enforcement & Military Discounts:
We proudly support those who serve. Active duty military, law enforcement, EMS, and veterans receive a standing discount with verified credentials. Contact us directly or through ID verification portals.

Civilians Welcome, Responsibility Required:
We believe every citizen has the right — and the responsibility — to be prepared. We welcome all law-abiding individuals to purchase our gear, and we encourage responsible ownership, training, and safe use.

Privacy & Security:
Your data and order information is never shared outside of our trusted payment and fulfillment partners. We maintain strict confidentiality and never sell your information.

Training Partnerships:
We actively seek partnerships with certified instructors, responders, and training groups to expand access to hands-on preparedness education. Want to host a training session or become an affiliate instructor? This is still in the works

No Authorization for Resale
Code 4 Preparedness products— including individual components, kits, or bundled systems—are not authorized for resale unless a written wholesale or reseller agreement has been executed and approved by Code 4 Preparedness.
Unauthorized resale voids any warranties, guarantees, or liability protections offered by Code 4 Preparedness 

Prohibited Purchasers & Organizational Restrictions
To ensure compliance with federal law, safety standards, and ethical distribution practices, Code 4 Preparedness does not sell, supply, or distribute products to any organization, entity, or group that meets one or more of the following criteria:

• Is restricted, sanctioned, or prohibited under U.S. federal law or regulation
  
  

• Is identified by federal authorities as presenting a security, safety, or legal risk
  
  

• Operates in violation of U.S. law, or is formally restricted from receiving tactical, medical, or emergency-preparedness equipment
  
  

• Seeks to acquire products for purposes conflicting with U.S. federal regulations, public safety, or lawful emergency preparedness practices
  
  

Code 4 Preparedness reserves the right to decline any sale that raises compliance, safety, or ethical concerns and may require verification of organizational identity or intent before fulfilling orders.

By accessing, purchasing from, or interacting with Code 4 Preparedness, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, our privacy policy, and any applicable laws or regulations. If you do not agree with these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our services.

2. Intended Use of Products

All products sold by Code 4 Preparedness — including first aid kits, trauma gear, and tactical supplies — are intended for use by responsibly trained individuals. Some items may be restricted or require proper knowledge and local compliance.

• It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they are trained in the use of any emergency medical device purchased.
  
  

• We recommend all customers seek formal training from certified professionals (e.g., Stop the Bleed, TCCC, CPR/First Aid) before using trauma care products.
  
  

3. Medical Use Disclaimer

Code 4 Preparedness does not make medical diagnoses, offer medical advice, or guarantee lifesaving results from any product sold. Our products are not a substitute for emergency medical care or professional response.

• No claim is made that any product sold will prevent injury or death.
  
  

• Use of products in high-risk environments carries inherent risks. Purchasers accept those risks upon purchase.
  
  

4. Product Liability Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Code 4 Preparedness shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

• Improper use or misuse of our products
  
  

• Lack of training or negligent application
  
  

• Modification or tampering with any product sold
  
  

• Use in violation of local, state, or federal laws
  
  

Purchasers and users assume full responsibility for the selection, use, and application of any product.

5. Restricted Items

Certain items, including but not limited to hemostatic agents, needle decompression kits, or law enforcement-specific tools, may be restricted in some jurisdictions.

• It is the purchaser’s responsibility to know and follow all applicable laws in their location.
  
  

• Code 4 Preparedness reserves the right to cancel and refund orders that conflict with legal compliance.
  
  

6. Returns and Hygiene Policy

Due to the nature of emergency medical and preparedness products:

• Sterile, sealed, or safety-sensitive items are not eligible for return or exchange once opened, for hygiene and safety reasons.
  
  

• Non-sterile items may be considered for return on a case-by-case basis if requested within 30 days of purchase, provided the item is unopened, unused, and in original condition. This policy is intended to balance customer satisfaction with safety and product integrity.
  
  

• Approved returns of non-sterile, unopened, and unused items that are not the result of a shipping error or product defect may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 15%.
  This fee covers inspection, handling, and processing costs and will be deducted from the refund amount.
  
  

• Restocking fees will not apply to items that are defective, damaged in transit, or incorrectly fulfilled by Code 4 Preparedness.
  
  

• Proof of purchase is required for all return requests. Customers may be required to provide a valid reason for the return and submit photographs or videos to verify product condition prior to approval.
  
  

• Code 4 Preparedness reserves the right to deny any return or refund for items that appear used, opened, altered, damaged, or tampered with.
  
  

• Approved returns must be shipped back to Code 4 Preparedness at the customer’s expense. Refunds will be issued only after the returned item has been received and inspected.

All items shall be sent back to Code 4 Preparedness at the customers expense before a refund can be issued.

7. Pricing, Availability, and Warranty

• All prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice.
  
  

• We make every effort to ensure product availability but do not guarantee stock levels.
  
  

• Unless otherwise stated, products come with a manufacturer’s warranty only. We do not offer express warranties beyond original packaging guarantees from the manufacturer.
  
  

8. Law Enforcement / Military Sales

We proudly offer discounted pricing for verified law enforcement, military, and EMS professionals. Verification may be required at checkout or before shipping. Unauthorized use of professional discounts may result in cancellation or future account suspension.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of Utah. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable legal standards in that jurisdiction.

📘 Code 4 Preparedness – Gas Mask Sales Policy

Applies To: All civilian gas masks, respirators, filters, and related protective equipment sold by Code 4 Preparedness LLC.

1. Product Intended Use

All gas masks sold by Code 4 Preparedness LLC are intended for:

• Civilian preparedness
  
  

• General respiratory protection
  
  

• Training and educational purposes
  
  

• Hobbyist, industrial, or environmental use
  
  

They are NOT certified as medical devices, and unless explicitly stated, they are not approved by NIOSH, OSHA, or the U.S. military for operational use.

2. No Guarantee of Protection

Gas masks and filters:

• Do not guarantee protection from toxic chemicals, biological agents, radiation, or hazardous airborne particulates.
  
  

• Must be used correctly and with compatible filters.
  
  

• May not protect against unknown, high-concentration, or immediately dangerous-to-life-or-health (IDLH) environments.
  
  

Code 4 Preparedness LLC assumes no responsibility for misuse or improper application.

3. End User Responsibility

The buyer is responsible for:

• Determining whether the mask meets their needs
  
  

• Understanding the limitations of the equipment
  
  

• Ensuring correct fit, storage, and use
  
  

• Complying with all local, state, and federal laws
  
  

• Using filters appropriate for the environment
  
  

We strongly recommend training in:

4. Filter & Compatibility Disclaimer

Unless specifically stated:

• Filters included with civilian masks are general-purpose filters
  
  

• Filter shelf life depends on storage conditions
  
  

• Used or opened filters cannot be returned for safety reasons
  
  

Code 4 Preparedness LLC does not guarantee compatibility with third-party brands or expired filters.

5. No Life-Saving Device Claim

Civilian gas masks sold by Code 4 Preparedness LLC:

• Should not be relied upon as a sole method of survival
  
  

• Are not substitutes for professional-grade CBRN-certified equipment
  
  

• Are not guaranteed to protect in chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear attacks
  
  

These products are for preparedness, not guaranteed survival.

6. Legal Use Only

By purchasing, the customer agrees:

• They are not prohibited by law from owning protective equipment
  
  

• They will not misuse the equipment
  
  

• They will not export or resell in restricted areas without proper authorization
  
  

Code 4 Preparedness LLC is not liable for buyer misuse or illegal use.

7. Returns & Warranty

Due to the nature of protective equipment, gas masks and filters:

• Cannot be returned once opened
  
  

• Must remain unopened and unused to qualify for return (if allowed)
  
  

• Are covered only by the manufacturer’s warranty, if applicable
  
  

All returns must follow our main Return & Refund Policy.

8. Liability Limitation

By purchasing any gas mask or filter from Code 4 Preparedness LLC, the customer acknowledges:

• Use of the product is at their own risk
  
  

• Code 4 Preparedness LLC is not liable for injury, death, or harm resulting from use or misuse
  
  

• No employee or representative can guarantee protection from hazardous environments
  
  

This disclaimer applies to all sales, including online, in person, and event sales.

9. Age Requirement

1. Assumption of Risk

Trauma products, medical supplies, tactical gear, and first aid equipment may involve risk when used improperly or without proper training.
By purchasing from Code 4 Preparedness LLC, Customer agrees that:

• Products are used at their own risk.
  
  

• They are responsible for ensuring they are trained and competent in their use.
  
  

• They understand misuse may lead to harm, injury, or death.
  
  

Customer fully assumes all risk associated with product handling and application.

2. No Medical Certification or Training Guarantee

Products sold by Code 4 Preparedness LLC do not certify or qualify the Customer in medical treatment, field care, or emergency intervention.

We do not guarantee:

• medical proficiency
  
  

• proper application
  
  

• life-saving outcomes
  
  

• suitability for any particular situation
  
  

Training is the responsibility of the Buyer.

3. Product Use Disclaimer

Unless explicitly stated, Code 4 Preparedness LLC does not manufacture the items sold. Items may originate from third-party suppliers. Customer acknowledges:

• products may have expiration dates, lot numbers, or regulatory classifications based on the original manufacturer
  
  

• effectiveness may vary depending on conditions and user skill
  
  

• packaging may differ from brand to brand
  
  

Customer agrees to inspect items upon receipt for suitability, condition, and accuracy.

4. Indemnification & Liability Release

By purchasing and/or using products from Code 4 Preparedness LLC, Customer agrees to hold harmless, defend, and indemnify Code 4 Preparedness LLC from any claims, damages, injury, litigation, or loss arising from:

• use or misuse of products
  
  

• resale or redistribution of products
  
  

• negligent or untrained application
  
  

• improper storage, modification, or alteration
  
  

This includes claims made by third parties or end users.

5. No Warranty for Improper Use

Code 4 Preparedness LLC provides products as-is and makes no warranty — expressed or implied — that products:

• prevent injury or death
  
  

• guarantee survival or clinical outcome
  
  

• are a substitute for professional medical care
  
  

Warranty is limited strictly to defects traceable to the manufacturer.

6. Emergency Use Notice

Many trauma and first aid tools are intended for emergency use by trained personnel only.

Buyers and users agree:

• to seek medical training where required
  
  

• to deploy equipment only within the scope of their skill
  
  

• to call emergency services when possible
  
  

Possession of gear ≠ competency to apply it.

7. Products are sold “as is” 

All products sold by Code 4 Preparedness LLC are sold strictly “as-is,” without warranties beyond the original manufacturer’s guarantees. By purchasing, you acknowledge that products may be resold, used, or handled at your own risk.

All content, branding, designs, product concepts, trademarks, trade dress, logos, imagery, text, and materials associated with Code 4 Preparedness LLC, including but not limited to the Code 4 Preparedness name, logo, likeness, and any products or concepts developed under the Code 4 Preparedness brand, are the exclusive property of Code 4 Preparedness LLC unless otherwise stated.

Unauthorized use, reproduction, distribution, modification, or commercial exploitation of any Code 4 Preparedness intellectual property without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Use of the Code 4 Preparedness name or logo for commercial purposes
  
  

• Use of Code 4 branding in advertising, resale, or endorsements
  
  

• Reproduction of product designs, packaging, or original content
  
  

• Misrepresentation or affiliation implying endorsement by Code 4 Preparedness
  
  

Violations may result in enforcement actions, including cease-and-desist demands, removal requests, account takedowns, and civil legal remedies to the fullest extent permitted by law.
